Taking Out the Trash

Here’s the thing about truly, definitively deciding to focus on me and take care of me: it has a snowball effect. Once I clean up some of the trash, I am ready to haul out more. Today I am making changes to dispose of the largest, ugliest, most toxic garbage pile in my life.

My very first action, after creating my Facebook account many years ago, was to block my husband’s ex-wife, because she had already shown me, loud and clear, how unstable she is by following me and stalking me in real life. It made no difference, really: I have known for quite some time that she still uses the children’s accounts to stalk my Facebook page, as well as my husband’s. (Because what are kids for, if not to use, manipulate, and wield for her own selfish gain?)

Another avenue she latched onto like a bitch in heat has been my blog. Relentlessly, tirelessly, for over 15 years, she pretends she maintains a meaningful connection with my husband and with me by shamelessly deep-throating my words, seeking me out several times a day, refusing to admit that, quite frankly, this makes her disturbingly obsessed and more than a little pathetic.

I have laughed at her. I have been bewildered and incredulous at her bizarre infatuation with me. I have almost felt sorry for her.

But now…I am just plain bored with her.

Once I started making changes recently, I picked up momentum. I don’t want to stop. I want to do this 100%, all the way, like I mean it, baby.

I will be moving my weight loss journey to another home. Don’t worry — I will create a post to let you know where I will be, once I get it all set up. A friend of mine gave me a great idea, and I am excited to give it a try.

I am cutting the noxious ties that this delusional and emotionally impoverished troll fantasizes that she has with me. And it feels good.

Yes. I am ready for more emotional energy for the people who truly deserve it: my husband. My family. Me.

I am ready to prioritize who and what matters, and to drop the rest in the dumpster where it belongs.

I am ready to make healthy, positive changes I should have made a long time ago.

I am ready to change. To improve. To grow. To become who I know I can be.

It is inevitable that my husband’s ex-wife and I will encounter each other in real life eventually. That’s okay. I have nothing to hide and nothing to be embarrassed about. She cannot truthfully say the same. I just hope she can manage not to drool on me or hump my leg.

Now…who’s ready to come with me on a new and improved journey?
